1kg of oranges, sourced from a co-operative of farmers in Almeria in Southeast Spain.
The co-operative was born in 1993 by the initiative of 12 small farmers from Bajo Andarax (Almería) and an area of only 12.5 hectares of citrus. It currently has 920 members and a total of 985 hectares, distributed in 42 municipal areas of Almería, Granada and Seville. They have included organic farms since 1999 and currently almost a third of the production is organic.
